Ingredients
12 cups Kellogg’s Rice Krispies cereal
2 10 oz bags (8 cups) mini marshmallows
1 ½ sticks (¾ cup or 12 tablespoons) butter cubed
1 cup sweetened condensed milk
1 teaspoon Kosher salt
2 teaspoons vanilla
1 cup butterscotch chips
2 ½ cups chocolate chips
Flaked salt
Method
Butter a 9 x 13 pan. Measure out cereal into large plastic bowl. Over medium heat, melt butter until it bubbles, foams, then once golden brown, remove from heat. Stir in condensed milk. It will bubble up, so keep stirring until smooth. Add vanilla and salt. Add marshmallows. Return to heat. Stir constantly until all are melted and mixture barely boils. Pour hot marshmallow mixture over cereal. Mix until coated. Mix in butterscotch chips.
Heavily butter your hands. Dump into prepared dish. Press down tightly until flat. Melt chocolate chips in microwave 1 minute and stir. Repeat until chocolate is smooth and barely melted. Pour over treats and spread to the edges. Sprinkle a light layer of salt over the top. Refrigerate uncovered until chocolate hardens. Keep at room temperature, or serve chilled.
